It is a fact that most of the data being created by the IoT is now sent over the Internet to the Cloud or remote data centers for further processing. But the security vulnerabilities within the Internet’s open architecture make it inappropriate for many IoT use cases, specifically those linking time-sensitive and highly critical information. So, nowadays, there is a better way to overcome all the above vulnerabilities is by doing edge computing, which does not depend on the Cloud or a remote data center for IoT data processing.  Therefore, edge computing processes and analyzes data near the source of data generation and data processing takes place at or close to where decisions are made.
