Driverless cars: An end to Car insurance

Self-driving cars and ride-sharing programs are set to disrupt the automobile insurance market completely. This new technology is set to bring about changes like:
1. Accident frequency will decline as driving behaviors become negligible, hence difficulty in charging a meaningful premium for insurance
2. Since robots will do the driving, insurance will take the form of commercial product liability instead of personal driver liability.
3. Vehicle utilization will rise and cars on road will decline as one car can serve the driving needs of many, which means fewer cars on road.
So adopting this new technology auto-insurance market could collapse. To know more: http://www.businessinsider.com/driverless-cars-may-end-car-insurance-2015-7
