Firstly, I am extremely humbled that I got the opportunity to express my gratitude for “Sigmaway LLC” and its team.
The internship program offered was extremely helpful as it served as a kick start for my career. Being a 1st year M.Sc student, was still unaware of the slightest experience of the corporate culture and work knowledge. But the internship program very well developed my reading skills and enhanced my practical knowledge immensely. The division into teams and interaction within the team members were my first experience in working as a team and enhanced our team bonding and developed leadership skills. The team meetings which were held almost every day through video conferencing, telecommunication etc. gave us communication skills and interaction capability.
The individual projects allotted helped us a great way in learning “R-Software” and connect all the learnings with the basic Statistic knowledge.
I realized the value of the internship program while my campus interviews, as most of the interviewers were really impressed with the internship program and its learnings and skill development from here.
It will be unfair if I do not mention this, a special thanks to our seniors and mentors, Piu Ma’am, Debjani Ma’am and Nitin Sir were always there in our highs and lows and did their every bit to encourage us and helped us complete our program successfully. Working with you was always great fun along with learning.

Sukanya Acharya
I, Sukanya Acharya received the amazing opportunity to work with Sigmaway Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd., India during my summer vacations as an internship in the company. My project involved application of data mining (more specifically, ASSOCIATION RULE MINING technique) in retail industry. I created a data analysis model in Rapidminer as well as a user manual and training videos for the same. Regular duties during the tenure of the project included improving Search Engine Optimization for Sigmaway based on current topics in Analytics. I also got exposed to various aspects of a corporate role. Thus I got to work with new software which our mentor guided us in each and every step. Overall, I had a great experience interacting with new people, sharing our thoughts along way which finally helped me crack interviews in various companies. Question such as hypothesis of ASSOCIATION RULE MINING, importance of correlation, standard deviation were asked along with the overall process of building the project. Thanks to Sigmaway to enhance my work management capacity. It was a wonderful learning experience for me.

Anish Roy
I graduated from Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur with B.Sc degree in Economics. My college was an autonomous institution affiliated to the University of Calcutta. During these three years of my bachelor's degree, I had no exposure to the corporate world whatsoever. It was only during my Masters degree program I started to take a keen interest in the corporate world. Being surrounded by classmates from all across India and getting to know their level of exposure doing a Summer Internship became all the more important to me. I began my search for Summer Internships and luckily enough it ended with Sigmaway LLC. After being selected for the internship I was very excited to see what lay next.
The blog writing and developing the E-learning module has been very helpful. I got to know and work in areas that are out of my curriculum. I even learnt to operate a new software which is a great help. My mentors were very helpful, guiding me through every step of the way. Communicating with my supervisors and reporting to them on a daily basis has certainly established in me the discipline one needs to thrive in the corporate world.
The two months that I worked there has been an enriching experience for me. I got the exposure I wanted and learnt many new things which will definitely help me in my career in the corporate world.

Ahana Sanyal
I had the wonderful opportunity of doing a summer internship under GoSigmaWay Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd., India. I worked on the application of predictive analytics in Private Passenger Automobile Insurance Industry. It was a great experience. I got to work with new softwares & was guided in every step by my mentors in GoSigmaWay. I also got the opportunity of interacting with a lot of people, from different backgrounds, we also shared our knowledge. I had gone through the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training programme, offered by GoSigmaWay, which enhanced my work management capacity, a lot. I had an interesting project to work on, & the whole internship was a wonderful learning experience for me. I really would like to thank GoSigmaWay for that.

Interning at SigmaWay LLC has been a very nice experience. I learnt a lot about data analytics, RapidMiner and Agile development here. People here are really nice and they encouraged and guided me throughout the internship to complete the project given to me.

Ashish Pahwa
I would like to express my gratitude to SigmaWay team for providing me this great opportunity and learning experience during my winter internship. I was assigned a project in text classification on various categories. I got exposure to real world machine learning challenges where data is not already available for the analysis, So data collection,cleaning and preprocessing was one part of my job. I had the support of great mentors who guided me at every step ,regular interactions with them via offline and online discussions helped me realize my strengths, weaknesses and potential. Moreover I learnt the importance of effective time management as I had to balance between work and academics which is indeed a valuable lesson for life. I also helped improving SEO of SigmaWay website by writing blog summaries of latest technology, big data trends and analytics articles which cultivated a good reading habit in me.The knowledge and experience I gained here gave me a kick start to accelerate my career in the field of data science.
